Big Concept, Smalls Sliders
With a focus on flipping the best burgers in Baton Rouge, Drew Brees and WalkOn’s CoFounder, Brandon Landry, got back to basics in their newest restaurant concept Smalls Sliders on Nicholson Drive across from Tigerland.
Utilizing a shipping container, crews built the 950-square-foot building in a warehouse off-site. The restaurant is constructed in five separate pieces & hauled to the site, where it is assembled like a puzzle. The Smalls Sliders facility features kitchens, bathrooms & offices making it a quick, functional & budget-friendly option for start-ups.

After operating over a year, Smalls Sliders is upgrading their kitchen! They’re adding more equipment to ramp up production and meet the slider demand at LSU. Lentz Roofing of Baton Rouge, Louisiana said the upgrades were simple and easy from a construction standpoint, proving the novel concept could be built to scale.
Restaurant Business named Smalls Sliders’ repurposed shipping container one of eight concepts to watch for 2020. With this franchise-friendly construction concept, other locations might appear across the country turning Smalls Sliders into big business.
